Dear West Valley Medical Center,
I was 11 days overdue when Dr. Theodore Colwell recommended a Cesarean-section delivery of my first baby — due to various issues with the way labor was progressing. I was very nervous, but thankfully West Valley Medical Center’s great team of doctors and nurses helped make my experience wonderful. They were thorough yet very caring.
Dr. Colwell and Dr. David Bradshaw worked together seamlessly to get my labor started as safely as possible. Leading up to my surgery, the nurses did a tremendous job to keep me comfortable. Later Dr. Bradshaw stopped by to see how I was doing, even though he isn’t my usual doctor. The next morning the hospital’s lactation specialist offered advice and answered my questions and concerns — a pleasant surprise.
My husband and I welcomed a 9-pound baby boy, Cash. I’m so grateful to the entire team of doctors and nurses who helped keep me comfortable and calm during my stay. It is extremely nice to have a community hospital with such an extraordinary, caring staff.
