West Valley Medical Center announces the appointment of Dr. Adam Bell as the new Trauma Medical Director. ‌

‌Dr. Bell brings exceptional leadership and expertise to the role as West Valley continues to enhance and uphold its commitment to providing high-quality trauma care to the community.

"Dr. Adam Bell is an experienced general surgeon with extensive knowledge in a wide range of procedures and treatments. We are fortunate to have Dr. Bell's leadership and expertise as we continue to strengthen our Trauma Center, which is a vital resource for our community," said Dr. Richard Augustus, Chief Medical Officer.

‌West Valley earned a Level III trauma designation from the State of Idaho’s Time Sensitive Emergencies (TSE) Council in 2024. As a Level III trauma center, West Valley is dedicated to upholding rigorous standards in patient care, experience, and satisfaction.‌

"This facility has shown a remarkable commitment to the community, with a variety of departments and providers all contributing to the successful launch of this program. West Valley Medical Center colleagues consistently set a high standard for quality and patient care and I look forward to working together to achieve even greater milestones with the trauma program," said Dr. Bell. 

‌‌‌Dr. Bell is a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) with Advanced Surgery of Idaho. As a general surgeon, he treats a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions as well as performing breast care and treatments. His care philosophy focuses on treating patients holistically, addressing not only the physical aspect but also the emotional and mental well-being, providing information, reassurance, and working towards the best possible outcomes. Dr. Bell earned an undergraduate degree from Weber State University and attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. His general surgery residency was through Michigan State University at Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
