Healthgrades recognizes West Valley in three specialty areas
West Valley Medical Center was recognized by Healthgrades for specialty excellence. The 150-bed Caldwell hospital continued its streak of high-quality treatment for sepsis and hip fractures, and this year also earned recognition for treating heart failure.
“We’re proud of the capabilities and quality that enable us to improve the lives of families in the Treasure Valley with our care,” said Dr. Filip Roos, chief medical officer of HCA Healthcare’s Mountain Division, which comprises the Caldwell facility and its sister sites in Idaho, Utah and Alaska. “The extremely skilled physicians affiliated with West Valley are backed by a team of 500 caregivers, support team members and leaders, all of whom are committed to delivering quality care in all of the areas where we serve patients.”
As part of the Healthgrades recognition, West Valley Medical Center received a Five-Star rating in Treatment of Sepsis for the fifth straight year, in Hip Fracture Treatment for the third straight year, and in Treatment of Heart Failure.
Together with sister Gem State facility Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, the two hospitals combined for 13 Five-Star ratings, and the Mountain Division earned a total of 37.
