West Valley Receives Gold Plus Award for Heart Care

Caldwell, ID — West Valley Medical Center has once again received the Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for its commitment to quality care and outcomes for heart failure, in-hospital resuscitation and stroke patients.

Hospitals receiving the “Get With The Guidelines” Gold Achievement Award have reached an aggressive goal of treating (heart failure or stroke) patients with 85 percent or higher compliance to core standard levels of care as outlined by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for 24 consecutive months.

Get With The Guidelines is a quality improvement initiative that provides hospital staff with tools that follow proven evidence-based guidelines and procedures in caring for heart failure patients to prevent future hospitalizations.
