360 Encompass implemented for all patient types

Parallon’s new computer assisted coding (CAC) process and supporting software, 360 Encompass by 3M, was implemented for All Patient Types in the Mountain Division in July 2019. This implementation will change how coding queries for clarification of physician documentation are issued and answered. Now coding queries will be issued through 360 Encompass and will be accessed and answered through the Meditech Provider Workload Management (PWM) desktop.

Any outstanding physician queries in MPF at the time of the 360 Encompass implementation will still need to be answered through MPF.

360 Encompass is being introduced enterprise-wide through a phased approach with the goal of materially improving coding quality. With 360 Encompass, we can better serve our key stakeholders, facilities, and patients by remaining an industry leader in harnessing data and technology advances.

• 360 Encompass brings several new features to improve accuracy and workflow, including:
• Computer assisted coding
• Query view and response integration with EMR
• Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Quality metrics indicator alerts
• Auto-suggested codes, specificity queries, initial sequencing and DRGs
• More data and data views for analytics
• Configurable prioritized work lists
• Robust query data including data to track physician responses to queries
