Meet our employee of the year

We recently held our annual Performance and Service Awards to celebrate service milestones and to honor our performance award winners! We all had a boot stompin' good time and we have the pictures to show for it! Our Employee of the Year, Amanda Van Norman, exemplifies fairness, empathy and hard work. She is a role model to others in her daily activity and as a unit educator and preceptor. Here's more about Amanda.

What do you do at West Valley?

I'm a registered nurse at West Valley on the Medical Surgical Floor.

What is your favorite thing about working at West Valley?

My favorite thing about West Valley is my co-workers and how small it is so I get to know people from different floors and units.

What is your favorite thing to do in the Treasure Valley?

My favorite thing to do in the Treasure Valley is to watch my nieces and nephews play baseball/softball, Shakespeare Festival, Boise Hawk games, riding bikes and hanging out with my Corgi "Cricket."

What inspires you?

My family and my patients inspire me every day.

Favorite food?

Pizza, cheese burgers and Baby Ruth's.
