We are thrilled to introduce you to our new leaders who have joined our team at West Valley Medical Center and re-introduce you to some familiar faces who are taking on new roles at the hospital!
Jay Middleton, Director of IT
Jay started his career with HCA Healthcare in October of 2016 as an Associate IT Director for Lake City Medical Center in the North Florida Division. He served in that role for the last two and a half years. Throughout his tenure, Jay supported and led numerous enterprise, division, and facility technology projects. Jay's team focused on operational excellence, high availability, information protection, nursing portfolio and physician experience initiatives. With a strong technical background, Jay functioned as a hands-on leader who partnered with his team to solve business challenges with technology solutions. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science, Computer Information Systems degree from Saint Leo University.
Kaycee Emery, Director of Marketing and Public Relations
Kaycee comes to us from the City of Meridian where she has been Communications Manager since 2014. There she had oversight over all branding and communications for the City, developed crisis communications, managed social media channels and led media training for staff, among other duties. Prior to that, Kaycee was Communications Director for Governor Butch Otter's successful 2014 campaign and she was the Project Manager and Field Producer for Unity Media Group, working with many healthcare clients. Kaycee started her career as a news anchor for KTVQ in Montana and at KTVB (NBC) Channel 7 in Boise. Kaycee received her bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the University of Idaho.
Nathan Jensen, Behavioral Health Unit Program Director
Nathan comes to us from EIRMC where he was the Clinical Manager of the facility's behavior health center. Nathan is an LCSW and holds a MBA from Brigham Young University. Nathan has seven years of leadership experience, 12 years of social work experience with additional expertise in the outpatient setting.
Carlos Vazquez, Director of Environmental Services
Carlos joined the team in January and came to us from Jordan Valley Medical Center in West Jordan, Utah, where served as the Assistant Director of EVS. Carlos is from Evanston, WY, and started his career in EVS there. Carlos is excited to still be near the mountains, and was pleased to find the Treasure Valley has a similar climate to Salt Lake City.
Wendy McClain, Director of Business Development
Wendy has been promoted to Director of Business Development for West Valley Medical Center. She will now have service line responsibilities, operationalize major growth initiatives and capital investments, and help execute on all of the strategic work that is needed to continue to grow and thrive. With Wendy's background, proven experience and exceptional ability to work a plan, she will no doubt flourish in this role and will be a great resource.
Jake Nancolas, Director of Imaging
Jake has been with West Valley in the Imaging department since May 2008 and has served in various roles, including X-Ray Technologist, CT Technologist, as Supervisor since January 2018, and Interim Director since November 2018. Jake earned bachelor's degrees in Radiologic Science and Biology, both from Boise State University, and is finishing up his Masters of Radiologic Sciences from Weber State University. Jake is a native of Caldwell, Idaho, graduated from Caldwell High School and served a two-year church mission to San Bernardino, CA.
