Our 3rd quarter is coming to a close. Preliminary data shows us ranked #16 in HCA for Inpatient Patient Experience. This puts West Valley Medical Center at the 87th percentile in the Press Ganey database. Our Emergency Department made excellent progress moving from a ranking of 136 in HCA to 56 with a 10.5 point increase in ED Patient Experience responses.
As we look forward to 2020, we will be focusing on creating strong connections with patients and families. We have excellent tactics in place for communicating, rounding, and handing off our patients – all help improve our patients’ experience with us. In addition, we will now be focusing our work around building connection and empathy. This work should support our goal of the 90th percentile in patient experience!
