West Valley auxiliary scholarship
The Auxiliary Scholarship offers two or more scholarship awards ranging between $500 and $1,000 per recipient to students enrolled health care degree program, such as nursing, medical technology (lab), medical records, radiology/imaging, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, etc. Scholarship amounts and funding are subject to approval on an annual basis and will be based on committee recommendation. This scholarship is available to immediate family members of volunteers and/or employees at West Valley. Students who accept scholarships from West Valley Medical Center agree to give the hospital an opportunity to recruit them for employment upon completion of their degree; however, no work commitment is required.

Allied Healthcare Scholarship
In addition to the Auxiliary scholarship, West Valley Medical Center is pleased to offer two or more scholarship awards ranging between $250 and $2,000 per recipient to non-employee students who are pursuing a two, three or four-year degree in an allied healthcare degree program, such as nursing, medical technology (lab), medical records, radiology/imaging, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, etc. Those applying must also be students who have or will graduate from a high school in Canyon or Owyhee County or have residence in Canyon or Owyhee County and are attending a postsecondary program in Idaho or Eastern Oregon. Awards are based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, and a statement of personal and educational goals and objectives.
Scholarship amounts and funding are subject to approval on an annual basis and will be based on committee recommendation.
