West Valley is proud to announce the success of its recent Surgical Robotics Open House, showcasing the latest advancements in the hospital's robotic-assisted surgery and medical technology. The event featured state-of-the-art robotics for knee and shoulder surgeries, spine robotics, and the hospital’s newest technology for atrial fibrillation (A-Fib) procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Organizers welcomed more 100 attendees, including students, teachers, and administrators from local schools such as Caldwell School District, Vallivue School District, Adrian School District (Oregon), Nyssa School District (Oregon), Fruitland School District, the College of Idaho, and College of Western Idaho (CWI). In addition, local business representatives, community organizations, and healthcare providers received a guided tour of the robotics, gaining firsthand exposure to the revolutionary technologies that are enhancing patient care at West Valley.
“The Surgical Robotics Open House was an incredible opportunity to highlight the advanced technologies available right here in our community,” said Kaycee Emery, director of communications and community engagement at West Valley Medical Center. “We were thrilled to demonstrate how these innovations are transforming the way we approach surgery and patient care. It was a wonderful day connecting with students, educators, healthcare professionals, and members of the community.”
The event included live demonstrations of robotic-assisted procedures and offered attendees an in-depth look at how these technologies work to improve surgical outcomes, reduce recovery times, and increase precision in a wide range of orthopedic and cardiac treatments.
“We are proud to offer these advanced technologies to our patients and to be a resource for local students interested in the future of healthcare,” added Nicholas Manning, chief executive officer, West Valley Medical Center. “We look forward to continuing our commitment to innovation and education, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare providers and inspiring those in our community.”
