Facility Update
As you may be aware, West Valley Medical Center has acquired the Family Medical Center office building that is attached to the hospital. We would like to thank FMC Associates, LLC, for providing a high-quality medical office building for physicians and employees to work and patients to receive care. WVMC looks forward to serving all tenants with a high-quality medical office building. The current service providers to maintain the building will remain the same, and we will be utilizing Lincoln Harris Property Management to manage the building. If you have any needs, please contact Lincoln Harris at (800) 933-4357 and reference HC 1904 location. During normal business hours, you many also contact WVMC Facility Plant Operations at (208) 455-3860.
Construction Update
MRI: For a patient, the thought of having an MRI is very scary, but just walking into our current mobile MRI suite is even scarier, from being put onto a patient lift to being confined in the very small unit. While MRI technology is absolutely essential to patient care, we believe the internal environment for our patients is equally important. While the new permanent structure on ground level and no patient lift are obvious benefits, the patient experience will also be enhanced with the PDC caring suite to include personalized lighting, music and video options. In addition, WVMC will have the most state-of-the-art MRI suite in the region by adding new GE 450 W. This technology includes an emphasis on patient comfort without compromising image quality. It can accommodate larger patients, flexible designs that comfortably embrace the patient, comfort tilt to improve exams, feet-first imaging for all anatomies and comfortable density padding designed that minimizes pressure points. With the GE 450 W technology, WVMC will be able to continue the same high-quality MRI exams with faster turnaround times, expanded service hours, better images and the ability to offer new exams like breast MRI. Construction continues with an anticipated completion fall 2016.
OR: Phase 2 of the OR expansion project is in the planning and staging process and will result in a total of six ORs of modern size, upgraded technology, new locker rooms, a new physician lounge and an expanded sterile processing department. Construction is anticipated to start late fall 2016.

Security Update
Safety and Security continues to be a high priority at WVMC. Upon completion of our Environmental Security Assessment for 2016, we have identified safety and security risks associated with the environment of care that could affect patients, staff, physicians and other people coming into the facility. As a result, we have taken additional security measures throughout the facility to minimize and/or eliminate the identified safety and security risks, such as additional badge access doors, additional cameras and reviewing all badge access assignments. With the additional badge access doors you will notice that the entrance to the facility near the loading dock, and all entry points in the Kaley building have been locked down to badge access only. To report any security or safety concerns, badge access questions and/or any incidents, please contact Wayne Tuckness, safety and security officer (SSO).
