New Physician Solutions Specialist/EMR Analyst
Please welcome Lacie Fantaski as our new provider solutions specialist and EMR analyst. Lacie has a bachelor of science from Boise State University in health informatics and information management. Lacie comes to West Valley with experience as a revenue integrity specialist who was instrumental in the implantation of a new EHR system (Cerner) in her previous healthcare facility.

PatientKeeper NoteWriter Pilot
We are excited to announce that West Valley Medical Center is the Mountain Division pilot for PatientKeeper NoteWriter. The pilot will consist of a small subset of providers in the facility.
PatientKeeper, also known as PK, is HCA’s comprehensive electronic health record software solution. The solution overlays disparate clinical applications to create a single, intuitive and easy-to-use web and mobile interface for patient care. The recent upgrade to PatientKeeper 8.2 has brought new, exciting functionality.
What's New:
- Conveniently view a static image of your patient’s EKG on your mobile device – and your desktop too
- Access clinical workflow and gather patient data faster via a more detailed display and enhanced flowsheets
- Communicate better with colleagues on-the-go; secure messages can include patient-specific links and images
- The power of choice – Android or iOS, choose which one works best for you
One of the key advantages of the PatientKeeper NoteWriter application is that it empowers physicians to create their own style of documentation utilizing narrative free text or structured content via point and click. While there are similarities between both Meditech Provider Documentation (pDOC) and PatientKeeper NoteWriter, NoteWriter offers more flexibility and options for physicians with regard to their individual preferences for note authoring.
Mountain Division IT&S will be holding a NoteWriter Preview Day as well as a PatientKeeper Open House in November. Keep your eye out for specific times and locations.
