Various interpretation services are provided at no cost to the patient. We strive to ensure clear communication for everyone who visits the hospital.
For inpatient procedures, we have a team of West Valley Medical Center employees who are certified in medical interpretation. Their expertise, which is honed through annual training, is a valuable tool for our patients.
For most outpatient appointments or procedures, we provide a contracted interpreter. Our contracted interpreters are held to the same values and expectations as our employees. These appointments encompass educational courses and events, therapy services, and dietician and radiology appointments.
The hospital also provides patient and family access to a language line that provides interpretation in a broad range of languages. To accommodate our hard-of-hearing and deaf patients, we provide sign language interpreters through a local agency.
