NICU will be up and running by August 1. We will start with “well” babies at first so physicians and staff can get acquainted with the new area and then drop down to 34 weeks, 33 weeks, and finally 32 weeks when physicians and staff are ready.

OR project is currently two weeks behind, which means the sterile trailer will remain in place until the middle of August.

ICU Waiting Room will transition back to a waiting room and chapel as soon as the NICU equipment is moved to the Family Maternity Center and the space has been cleaned.

Physician Lounge is still in the temporary location and will remain there until the area is no longer needed as a construction entrance for the OR project.

Exterior building and window sealing in progress and estimated to be complete by the end of the summer. Corporate funded.

Upcoming Projects

Hybrid OR/Endovascular Lab has been approved. It’s currently in the design phase with architects and the equipment vendor (Phillips). We hope to move to permitting with the city by mid-August.

Pharmacy construction is still on time for updating to current regulation standards regarding pressurization.

Parking Lot sealing and striping to repair winter storm damage has been approved for the hospital and 315 Elm medical office building, as well as the replacement of 5,000 square feet of asphalt. Corporate funded.

On the Horizon

Expansion of the Behavioral Health Unit continues to be a strategic priority, but proposals for renovation exceeded our budget expectations. We are actively pursuing alternative expansion strategies to meet the growing demand for adult and adolescent behavioral health services in our community.
