ePrescribe Update

WVMC is above 30 percent for electronic submission of all new prescriptions from inpatient areas at the time of discharge. This is triple the requirement for 2017. Thank you to Dr. Fu, Dr. Robinson, and the hospitalist team. If you would like to begin ePrescribing, please contact Jordie Booth at Jordie.Booth@hcahealthcare.com or 208-602-0301. WVMC is able to do both controlled and non-controlled medications electronically.

Meditech Downtime June 6

Downtime for Meditech is scheduled from 2330 on Tuesday, June 6, to 0330 on Wednesday, June 7. This is to enable the Meditech server to be relocated from Fort Worth/Dallas to Salt Lake City. The hope/expectation is that this will help decrease the spinning blue circle of death and reduce the “seizure screen flicker” when entering medications.

Temperature Conversion

The conversion has begun – nursing will be moving away from Fahrenheit scale to Celsius for temperature measurement throughout the facility starting May 4.
